You’re at a place and somebody approaches you. You don’t know them.

Is your reaction “shyness”?

If not, why do we keep programming our kids as “shy” when new people come around? And not simply “i don’t know you. You’re in my space. Build trust first.”

Same thing goes with your customers.

It’s not that they’re shy — or indifferent. They just don’t know you, what you do or how you can help them.

Build trust and respect them first.

Don’t sleaze in.

Don’t label them.

Respect and build trust.

At the end, trust is your financial indicator of success.
